Re: Including additions within a derive. Trailing chars missing on empty edition

As a beginner, I would ask if you have any advice that would save me time from learning more lessons the hard way? This is my 3rd time restructuring my files due to learning more about Plex naming standards. I'd strictly stick to the Plex Naming Scheme . I see you're adding a {collection} folder. I...

Re: How to set naming to automatically move to kids folder based on rating?

I was struggling with if statements in my Filebot format script. I saw an article on if statements. Is there an article you would recommend to ensure I understand which symbols mean what? I am unsure what ==~ means. Could you explain that? FileBot Groovy Expression Reference Documentation is a star...

Re: How to set naming to automatically move to kids folder based on rating?

What is the best way to automate a file being sent to a kids folder if it's a kids tv or movie? What params would I base it on? Ratings? FileBot can do anything, but FileBot cannot tell you what you want to do. Can filebot sort between children's/adult shows/movies? will help you get started. :idea...

i have an filebot cli lizenz, can i use it for the Synology CLI ? Yes. Also, filebot -check doesn't require a license in the first place. Is it possible to run this command over mutiple folders? Re: Feaure Request for multiple file selection

The use case is as I mentioned in my comment: "I often add a folder of files but want to either remove items or exclude items from being renamed." The solution to this particular use case are the UP / DOWN array keys for selection and DELETE key for removal. Simple. Efficient. Fast. As yo...

If you're having a hard time writing generic code by yourself / with ChatGPT then here's how you could do it with FileBot Scripting : #!/usr/bin/env -S filebot -script getPersistentRenameLog().each{ src, dst -> println "* $src -> $dst" if (src.exists()) { if (!dst.exists()) { println src.d...

Re: How can i rename files based on history?

I see. Unlucky there. Looks like filebot -script fn:history only prints history entries where the destination file currently exists: https://github.com/filebot/scripts/blob/master/history.groovy#L6 Looks like you'll have to write the code entirely by yourself... Pick the language of your choice, par...

Re: How can i rename files based on history?

Thanks very much, do you have any idea to how i can avoid the duplicate matches like files that are renamed couples times and they have couple matches in the history? What should happen if you have a couple of matches in the history? For $SRC ? For $DST ? For both? Define exactly what you want to d...

Re: How can i rename files based on history?

You'll probably need to write your own script for that. The history.xml file will tell you all the source / destination files.

Here's something to get you started:

Shell: Select all

#!/bin/sh
filebot -script fn:history --log OFF | while IFS=$'\t' read -r SRC DST
do
	echo "$SRC -> $DST"
done

Re: 'pt-BR' on .srt files gets deleted?

The target file path, including the pt-BR bit, is up to your custom format. The {plex} format and {subt} subtitle language tag would normally take care of that. Unfortunately, pt-BR is not a recognized language code, so neither {subt} nor {plex} will for out-of-the-box in this particular case. :idea...

Re: Problem running FileBot from Mac App Store

Apple does seem to have introduced some incompatibilities. I don't know. We only know that the same code works for most users while at the same time not working for a small number of users. The symtom is unexpected NIC properties. The root cause is unknown.

Yep, looks like the same issue. Not much we can do for now. If it's a recent purchase, then you can refund via Apple. If it's an older purchase, then we will send you a complimentary 1-year license for the non-Store edition.

:idea: There is no --lang Tagalog option because TMDB does not support tl-PH as site language. The issue at hand is notably unrelated to whichever value you pass in as --lang option. The default --lang English would work just fine in this case, if the movie entry were to be valid. :idea: FileBot doe...
