Re: Error writing extended attribute 'net.filebot.mediainfo': No space left on device

Once again @rednoah you have the answer I was looking for. This worked for me too. Is this located in the FAQ or similar help file?

Re: How to re-open a script to modify it ?

Sorry to revive such an old thread, but I'm trying to edit the *args files as suggested. I don't see that file path (/usr/local/filebot-node/data/task) on my Synology NAS. Similar to the OP, I want to edit just one parameter in several node scripts without having to recreate all new tasks. Also, how...

Re: TVDB match locks up Filebot

Looks like installing Filebot 4.8.5 fixed the problem. However, installing 4.8.5 was not an easy process. Since I am running Ubuntu 16.04, openjdk-11-jre cannot be easily installed. It is not included as an APT install. I had to use the steps described here: https://www.linuxuprising.com/2018/10/how...

TVDB match locks up Filebot

Hello again rednoah, I'm having trouble with Filebot recently. I am running Ubuntu 16.04. I installed Filebot 4.8.2 using the DEB package. When using the GUI, Filebot locks up while "matching" using TVDB. It doesn't lock up when using TVMaze. From your "How to Request for Help" I...

Re: java.io.FileNotFoundException: $HOME/.filebot/preferences.backup.xml (Permission denied)

sudo means " do as s uper u ser / root" so presumably by calling sudo filebot ... the first time around, ~/.filebot and files inside have been created with superuser / root permissions, which means your normal user doesn't have access to them, which causes filebot to crash right away when...

Re: java.io.FileNotFoundException: $HOME/.filebot/preferences.backup.xml (Permission denied)

Thanks for the quick response. I'll try what you suggested. I'm not sure why filebot would run as root. I've done nothing to allow that to happen, that I know of. I'll report back.

java.io.FileNotFoundException: $HOME/.filebot/preferences.backup.xml (Permission denied)

Hello again rednoah. As always, thanks for all the hard work and putting out a great product. I was delighted to see you offer a new licensed product for all platforms. I use filebot on both Windows and Linux (Ubuntu LTS 16.04). I went ahead and purchased a lifetime license because I love the produc...

Re: Rename to add video codec

Hello again, Sorry for the delay. I've been out of town and without internet connection for quite some time. Just got back recently. I would prefer to do this from the command line. I plan on searching and renaming my entire library, which is quite extensive. I've done some searching and can't figur...

Rename to add video codec

Hey Rednoah! I have a question for ya. I realize Filebot is probably complete overkill for this, but I love the product and don't really want to use anything else. (but I'm open to suggestions) All I want to do is add the video codec to the file name. I don't want Filebot to go through all of its gl...

Re: Filebot not running in crontab after installing with Snapd

Thanks for your help rednoah. Adding an extra $PATH to the beginning of the script fixed the problem. Looks like the Snapd installed version of Filebot runs from a completely different folder that crontab doesn't recognise. In fact, I checked $PATH before I made any changes in the script and then ad...

Re: Filebot not running in crontab after installing with Snapd

I forgot to do the CLI debugging. Thanks for reminding me. Well, crontab is calling the script, but it says filebot is not found. I'm not sure why considering I can run filebot just fine from the command line. And, I can call the script from the command line. Here's what the console output says when...

Filebot not running in crontab after installing with Snapd

Hello again Rednoah. I've run into a new problem since updating Filebot with Snapd. I've been running a Filebot script using crontab for several months now with no issues. Everything was running perfectly fine until I installed Filebot with Snapd. (the Snapd install may be coincidental, but it stopp...

I got it working with devmode.

I'll reach out to the snapd folks and try to find out why the /media plug isn't working.

Thanks again rednoah. Great product!

Re: Filebot update using Snapd not working - can't access /media folder

Yes, installing in devmode might work, but doesn't that defeat the purpose of distributing your software via an application like Snapd. From what I understand, this will remove all the security features inherit to Snapd software, which itself is a big selling point. BTW, I can't find Filebot version...

Filebot update using Snapd not working - can't access /media folder

I recently updated Filebot from 4.7.5 to 4.7.9 on my Ubuntu 16.04 home server. The previous version was working just fine, actually it was working awesome. I got tired of the pop up window saying there was a new version, so decided to update Filebot. Boy has that turned into a frustrating event. I c...

That's it! Again, quite the learning experience for me, albeit a bit frustrating. I figured out how to change the system language permanently. I need to run a test file, but the Filebot sysinfo looks good. filebot -script fn:sysinfo FileBot 4.7.9 (r4984) JNA Native: 5.1.0 MediaInfo: 0.7.93 7-Zip-JBi...

Thanks for the quick reply rednoah.

I read that in the FAQ and entered those two commands. Sorry, I didn't mention that. Was I supposed to do something other than just type in those two "export" commands?
