Re: Sorting by index (format: az) not yielding expected result

True, its a trade off. Could be a tiny note on the format page about it to avoid the odd surprise :)

Code: Select all

{n.sortName()[0]}
Many thanks!

Re: Sorting by index (format: az) not yielding expected result

I still have some weird occurrences such as: The Robe (1953) filebot -rename *.mkv --db --TheMovieDB --format "{az}/{ny}" --action TEST --log INFO [TEST] from [The.Robe.1953.BluRay.1080p.DTS-HD.MA.5.1.AVC.REMUX-GROUP.mkv] to [D/The Robe (1953).mkv] The Night Stalker (1972) filebot -rename ...

Re: Sorting by index (format: az) not yielding expected result

For the other example I mentioned: [TEST] from [Rips/paul.blart.mall.cop.2009.bluray.1080p.mkv] to [Movies/M/Paul Blart - Mall Cop (2009)/Paul Blart - Mall Cop (2009) - BluRay - 1080p.mkv] This might be a matter of interpretation. I would expect P? Anyway, nothing critical. If there is a way to get ...

Re: Sorting by index (format: az) not yielding expected result

Got to the bottom of it now. It's an error with release and repack, so both "the untold story" and "fallen champ - the untold..." got through the pipeline and therefore the naming was wrong on one of them. So I guess filebot did it correct yet again.

Sry for the false alarm!

Re: Sorting by index (format: az) not yielding expected result

The first example is real result :)
Anyway, I am going through quite many entries now so I can see if I find more examples.

Re: Sorting by index (format: az) not yielding expected result

My format:

Code: Select all

 "Movies/{az}/{plex.tail}{' - '+tags} - {source} - {vf}"
edit: Only way movies get into my movies folder is by filebot. I "confirmed" it by finding it in the wrong folder.

Re: Sorting by index (format: az) not yielding expected result

Hmm, that is weird, how come I got different result. I am using strict mode, that might be the reason?

Sorting by index (format: az) not yielding expected result

Hi! I'm having some difficulty getting movies sorted by first letter index (format: az). I'm expecting "a, an, the" etc to be excluded, however, I'm getting results like this: U/Fallen Champ: The Untold Story of Mike Tyson (1993) meaning, it is sorted as "U" (expecting F). I have...

Re: Incorrect matching with strict mode

Ah, I could not find entries from Mr. Canton and Lady Rose. However, going by Miracles as title: it seems like this a case of online db's having it different. Title on imdb is "Mr. Canton and Lady Rose" (international), on tmdb it is "Miracles" (international). -and original titl...

Incorrect matching with strict mode

I'm experiencing incorrect matching when using strict mode with fn:amc. I had the impression that strict mode guaranteed a match if able to. For example: Run script [fn:amc] at [Fri Dec 20 00:57:51 CET 2019] Parameter: unsorted = y Parameter: music = n Parameter: artwork = n Parameter: extras = n Pa...

Re: Format: themoviedb slug

Assuming there even is a slug in the database internally, because it doesn't matter, because all these URLs will redirect you to the same page
Hm, that I did not know

Guess I can work around it then :) Thanks for fast response.

Format: themoviedb slug

Hi! Is there any way to get the tmdb slug for formatting/naming? Lets take this as an example: https://www.themoviedb.org/movie/631380-one-must-fall?language=en-US Has id 631380 as ID. Title Slug is 631380-one-must-fall. (Computing the slug is not an option as there are exceptions to certain title t...

Re: cmd queries / evaluating

Ah. Perhaps you mean it's following symlinks? i.e. the newly created symlinks and thus adding xattr to the source file? Yep! I'm not sure how exactly xattr mechanics works and how Filebot and other 3rd party tools read this folder when its not stored with the file itself. I'm presuming that followi...

Re: cmd queries / evaluating

Many thanks!

I'm almost there now.

I noticed that Filebot tries to store .xattr file with the original file, rather than storing the .xattr at the target folder (with the symlink). Is there any way to to achieve intended behaviour?

Re: cmd queries / evaluating

Aaaahhhh, well, thats one way to get around it  In case someone else reads this thread in future, same, just executed in a safer manner: HOME=/my/other/home filebot --license PATH Will generate the directory at /my/other/home I will however make a feature request for FILEBOT_HOME variable later...

Re: cmd queries / evaluating

One more question. Just bought a license, installed it and saw that filebot defaults to "$HOME/.filebot". I tried to change the data location by: filebot -script fn:preferences --output SOMEOTHERPATH , but I realized that was only for the preferences file. How can I tell Filebot to use som...

Re: cmd queries / evaluating

3) Its not without exceptions, but a good read about it here https://github.com/trapexit/mergerfs#rename--link (rename & link paragraph) should you be curious. I assume fn:properties is persistent so it only needs to be called once to be set? Looks like Filebot can fit my use case assuming the s...

Re: cmd queries / evaluating

Many thanks for replying. 1) Considering data is on a read only system (move or rw is not an option unfortunately), storing to .xattr seems like an option. I can do some trickery with mergerfs so writing to .xattr is doable as I am pretty sure that xattr edit to original file would essentially trigg...

cmd queries / evaluating

Hi! I am in the process of evaluating if filebot can fit my needs. Looking through the scripts and commands (only headless / terminal usage), I have some questions, is there any way to: - query the internal database? examples: query db to determine if a candidate has been "seen", "Wha...
