Re: How can I avoid Filebot to rename unwanted files, e.g. all files with extension sfv?
I am not quite sure which file paths are meant. This is the folder they are stored in: I:\Downloads\packt
And this the folder they should be copied when FileBot renames them: I:\Data\Videos\Films

Re: How can I avoid Filebot to rename unwanted files, e.g. all files with extension sfv?
Yes yes, I would like to, but I do not know what to show, there is not anything to show, just drag and drop the files, then click "TheMovieDB" and rename, that's all.
There is no option to exclude sfv files and what does "export" mean:

Re: How can I avoid Filebot to rename unwanted files, e.g. all files with extension sfv?
Many thanks for the links. I do not quite understand. How could I achive this: I drag movies, folders with movies (with all other files coming with them) and drop them over FileBot. When I rename the files now I ALWAYS (for all further renmaings) want the sfv files and may be other not to be renamed...

Re: How can one avoid the update message to be shown on each start of filebot?
Many thanks!
So I have added these lines
to those files:
filebot.launcher.l4j.ini
filebot.l4j.ini
Is that correct? It seems to work.
So I have added these lines
Code: Select all
# FileBot launch4j runtime config
-Dapplication.deployment=msi
# check for application updates
-Dapplication.update=skip
filebot.launcher.l4j.ini
filebot.l4j.ini
Is that correct? It seems to work.

Re: How can I make this window disappear
Presumably, most users would just move the window to the corner of the screen, mostly off screen, and then not give it a second though. I would not think so, I do not know any other program with such a behaviour. It just is senseless to each time move a window again and again, it is absolutely need...

Re: How can I make this window disappear
I do not understand at all why there is no option to deactivate that "Always-on-Top behaviour", what is the sense for that? It is ridiculous to be bothered by such behaviour, a window on top all the time you do not want.

Re: How can I open FileBot with the same size of the window (I left it the last time or with a predefined value / the bi
Well, I do not want to install programs I do not need / use.I'd start by narrowing down the issue. Try the MSI package if you're using the portable or vice versa.
These two files are not changed when I change the size of FileBot and restart ist:
filebot.l4j.ini
filebot.launcher.l4j.ini

Re: How could one filter sfv files?
Why not have an option for everything you can think of? Well, yes, sounds good, might get a very comprehensive program then. As for customizing window priority? Well, well, if there were programs showing a window on top over all of the other windows all the time without the option to close it / hid...

Re: How could one filter sfv files?
I see, the progress dialog. Users have reported that this dialog sometimes appears hidden behind other windows, so I've made it always-on-top to make sure it's always visible when it pops up. Loosely related to the task bar issue actually. You can't hide it, that's a con. But it's never hidden, so ...

Re: How could one filter sfv files?
I Don't Know. Perhaps. Popup windows are displayed on top of the task bar on my machine. Newer revisions try to detect the location of the task bar and display the popup outside the task bar bounds. OK, NIS. Actually I should have the newest revision. VS. IDK what "processing window" refe...

Re: How could one filter sfv files?
Well, FileBot has more than one user, so perhaps some features make more sense for some users, and less so for others. Well, well, that is why a program offers different features, so for most ones then there are needful features available. A simple filter, a basic option, easily could manage that. ...
