Re: How could one filter sfv files?
But what sense does that make? It would be so easy to just add a simple filter option. The workaround is to only drop your video files into FileBot as discussed above It sounds as if that absolutely would not make any sense, manually remove the sfv files (and otheres) or the ones one want to rename?...

Re: How could one filter sfv files?
I am not quite sure to understand correctly. The sfv files are not ignored, they are processed. Rar files as well. And many more which should not be processed. Most likely, all the non-media files will be ignored and not matched to anything.

Re: How could one filter sfv files?
Such a simple setting / filtering not possible to do? Not even with the presets? Very strange.
So when you want to rename 20 movies being in folders with different files, subs, jpgs, pngs, txts, sfvs, samples, etc. you have to separately filter them in an awkward way first?

Re: How could one filter sfv files?
Very complicated / circuitous. Sorry, I cannot understand. Actually I want to achieve this: sfv files ALWAYS shall be filtered / not be processed when renaming. So when I drag and drop a folder over FileBot I want all of the files contained are processed / renamed besides of sfv files. Without havin...

Re: How could one filter sfv files?
Many thanks for the link. How / where do I have to add here the filter to not to process sfv files: I:\Eigene Dateien\Videos\Filme\{n.replace(':', ' -')} ({y}){tags}{file.path =~ /Kinofassung/ ? '[Theatrical Cut]' : ''}\{n.replace(':', ' -')} ({y}){' Teil '+pi}{'.'+lang}{tags}{file.path =~ /Kinofass...

How could one filter sfv files? And also other file extensions? So when I add the entire content of a folder to FileBot how can I manage it that sfv files are not processed for renaming?

Re: How could I transfer / import my own data (e.g. renaming schemes, settings) to a new FileBot (e.g. 4.8.5.)?
You have no idea how much easier my life would be if everyone just added a fullscreen screenshot, just randomly, when you're stuck and don't know what to do next, take a screenshot at that point in time. A screenshot says more than a thousand words. At the very least, I'll know which operation syst...

Re: How could I transfer / import my own data (e.g. renaming schemes, settings) to a new FileBot (e.g. 4.8.5.)?
Well, well, just transferring the settings to another FileBot, something common programs simply can do, a common option, didn't sound like a problem first or like an explanation is necessary. Well, if I knew which information are contetual I would do it, but I do not know. And just making screenshot...

Re: How could I transfer / import my own data (e.g. renaming schemes, settings) to a new FileBot (e.g. 4.8.5.)?
Yes, it is in the data folder. prefs.properties, too. But the copied files (from the old FB) do not have any effect.
If I see it right, the old FileBot has settings.properties in the program folder, so where FileBot.exe is stored. And the new one in the data folder? Can that be right?

Thank you.
I had already done that but it hadn't worked. Does that file, settings.properties, have to be in the data folder?

I want to transfer my settings, renaming formats form an old file bot to a new one, how could I do it? Could you give me a step by step instruction, please? So that I could get my settings, formats to the new FileBot.

Re: How could I transfer / import my own data (e.g. renaming schemes, settings) to a new FileBot (e.g. 4.8.5.)?
How so? The filebot command-line tool is the most universally available interface that works the same on all platforms and configurations. It'll work on everything from local Windows Desktop PC to remote headless Linux server located on the other side of the planet. Yes yes, that might be good for ...

Very unhandy, isn't it? That will work with portable FileBots?Settings can be imported / exported with the filebot command-line tool as described in the link above.

Re: How can one remove formats?
Well, there are many, I guess, for trying, with slight differences, may be failures and whatever and same formats with just different paths (for different movie folders, series folders), so it is not anything special or interesting.

Re: How can one remove formats?
Backing up your custom formats is highly recommended. Sharing them here in the forums is a good way to back them up for posterity, for yourself and others. What is the best way to back them up on one's own hard drive? Ah yes, the presets if one has more than one movie and / or series format, is it ...

Re: How can one remove formats?
So if one uses different formats (e.g. 5 for series) one has to save them in a text file or such because they will get lost someday?
Here it shows:
So it looks like those formats are kept stored there to be used at any time.
