Ok the fix was to install uTorrent as admin? Or run as admin? Did you have to install Java/FileBot as admin as well?
PS: I updated the uTorrent script to work better uT 2.2.1

Actually the first error is just logging, it only failes later, dependecy problem... See here: """ Updated 3.1 with r1296 to fix scripting issues that have been reported. Revert to Groovy 2.0.2 as these issues seem to be caused by the latest Groovy 2.0.5. """ Just downl...

Re: WARNING: Failed to read xattr: java.io.File.toPath()Ljav
You can ignore that. Set -DuseExtendedFileAttributes=false if that logging bothers you.
With Java 7 and user-level xattr enabled for the filesystem you can make that feature work, i.e. store metadata as xattr

Re: Complete Beginner
Tested with uT 2.2.1. Works fine for me, startup anyway, though the script doesn't work well with single-file torrents since 2.2.1 doesn't pass the single|multi variable like 3.x does. I guess for some reason utorrent isn't able to run filebot, but by know i've run out of ideas why that would be the...

What's the error output? Did you forget to copy lib/*.groovy? It'll need that for artwork/email/etc

That looks perfectly fine as well. I suppose it works perfectly if you just copy whole line into the cmd window. Also when it's just calling "filebot" it's starting the GUI application right? Can't see why uTorrent would open an explorer window like this.

Re: Rename Folders Too
:: UPDATE ::
In FileBot 3.1 you can just Link-Drop in folders if you want to process the folders themselves rather than the files in the folders:
Here's a video tutorial:

That's how it should work:

Are you Windows, Linux or Mac? Maybe the modifiers or something is a bit different on your platform.
EDIT:
My fault... it's SHIFT-Click... should have read my own FAQ first

Just edit the filebot.cmd, it's just a shell script text file.

Re: filebot -help not showing
Make sure you're calling the cmdline, not starting GUI app, i.e. filebot should resolve to filebot.cmd , not filebot.launcher.exe (msi) or FileBot.exe (portable), etc Did you install filebot with the msi? Or download portable and add that to the PATH? Works for me: C:\Users\reinhard>filebot -version...

Re: Multipe shows in the same folder
If you rename those two files one-by-one it'll work. That's because if you do it in one batch AND the files are in the same folder, info from one file might complete missing info from another. Just to answer how to override auto-detection, just Ctrl-Click any datasource and it'll make you enter the ...

Re: Complete Beginner
well, filebot itself works perfectly, just something odd with uTorrent calling filebot. Though if it works in cmd, but not in uT I have no idea what's going on. Should be the same thing.
Send me some screenshots of the uTorrent logger tab so I can make sure the cmds are alright.

Re: Complete Beginner
Well, the filebot call should create a txt file in C:\ called log.txt with filebot version output.
Since that works I suppose there must be something wrong with the command, or how uTorrent executes it. Can u send me a screenshot of utorrents logger tab?

You can just put the cmd into the "whenever torrent changes state" box and then start/stop torrents to trigger it.

Re: Complete Beginner
As fat as I know uTorrent just passes the cmdline directly to an new cmd window. Definitely an issue with how uTorrent calls the cmd... Very odd. What happens if set it to lets say "notepad", does it popup notepad or explorer? Or if you do filebot -version > C:/log.txt 2>&1, does that ...

Re: [REQ] - automatic subtitle fetching.
Doesn't really fit into the UI flow as it is right now. Might be easier to just setup some scripts to run these things automatically. Check into the suball script. You could just run that once in a while and grab subs for everything.

Had a quick look, but they don't provide an API to for applications like FileBot so I can't easily add support.

Mmhh. That's actually a good idea. Doesn't do any complicated stuff like that now though. GUI for something like that might be nice. But I'd probably use scripting instead anyway.

That's controlled via --action move|copy|symlink|hardlink You can check wikipedia for what symlinks and what hardlinks are. Also there is --action keeplink which will move the file but create a symlink at the original location (utorrent doesn't play well with symlinks though). Also on Windows it'll ...

Still it shouldn't open explorer, that's just wierd. I know 2.2.1 doesn't have the single|multi torrent parameter but it should work without. I'm pretty sure filebot is not called at all, obviously my script wouldn't open up explorer or anything like that. You can try running the script with argumen...

It's just a history. It'll remember the last 7 formats you used, that's all. Just add new formats and the old ones will go away.
