Re: [Bug] Update wiped all customizations Bah HUMBUG

on that same note, is there an easy way to add the forum posts to an RSS feed reader such as feedly. I typically wait until I either find an issue or a new update comes out to see what the latest stuff going on is with the forums but that way I would be more caught up in general.

Re: [Bug] Update wiped all customizations Bah HUMBUG

Is there a way to be notified of the RC versions? I typically just wait till filebot tells me its time to update. I noticed browsing thru the forum stuff I had not caught up on that a couple other people had mentioned the same suggestion I had of a way/place to easily switch and backup formats for t...

Re: [Bug] Update wiped all customizations Bah HUMBUG

In my defense that is answered in a different forum and it does not answer why they are lost. Users probably would like to know if updating is going to wipe their settings, - I would have for sure because at least I could have noted them down.in essence what this did they are still there but might a...

[Bug] Update wiped all customizations Bah HUMBUG

I just installed the latest update using the installer and all my customizations disappeared. Of course I had several and cannot remember exactly what they were since I am not a programmer so now I have to figure them out again (names.txt syntax and such) I believe this is the first time in a very l...

Re: 3.8 horrible matching via right click

well one big change is the always popping up the entry box (like pressing shift before right clicking) on every file. Also, it does not show the name in the select box (shows matching "dads" or whatever show it might be looking for, so it is blank. so you have no idea what input it is look...

3.8 horrible matching via right click

SOmething major got horked in matching in 3.8. Before I could take several titles of different series and right click to rename from the tvdb database. Now every time I right click, it asks for series name, no matter if it is one entry or 10 different ones. And the matching then one by one still ask...

Re: chocolatey error on install

I will contact him also, and I am sorry if I am new, but I already had java on the computer, it seems like that should be something chocolatey should be able to detect. Is it that way with all dependencies that if they have not been installed by chocolatey they will be installed again? I guess add f...

chocolatey error on install

I tried to use chocolatey to install filebot (trying new things) as i think I can then do some cool stuff with keeping it updated and such. But, when I tried installing on windows 8.1 64 bit machine, it tried to install java for 32 bit and then failed, but then correctly detected filebot 64 bit and ...

3.61 Hangs during install win 8-64bit

I tried the regular filebot install (filebot-setup.exe) which I guess is supposed to determine what system you are running and either then download the 86 or 64 version and install it. It worked fine on my XP system-32bit, but continued to hang on my win 8 64 system. I then searched on sourceforge a...

Re: latest version causing overwrites instead of warning

they might not have realized the consequences. thinking about it, i can see how it is a problem because you either have them overwrite, which has this problem, or you have to come up with a complex renaming thing to prevent losing files (ordered renaming or transitional names or something like that)...

Re: latest version causing overwrites instead of warning

It is a problem because it basically deletes the file that the 2nd file is renamed to, which i dont think anyone wants, but on the other hand i think it is prbably a step in the right direction for when you have a list of files and need to rename the list. Say you have episodes 1,3,4,5 and want to r...

latest version causing overwrites instead of warning

Just downloaded the update today and had a couple of instances where if a file already exists and the renaming changes a different file to that file name, it either deletes one of the files in the renaming process (overwriting it). For example, I was renaming some Krod mandoon episodes that were inc...

Re: Problem with timestamps and USB drives

On the java copy, is that backwards or something? Because using filebot on one directory yields the change to modified but on the other does not (perhaps because the nas uses its own interpreter or something and the usb uses windows?) outside of filebot, i have teracopy installed which does not chan...

Problem with timestamps and USB drives

So I backup several of my files on usb drives (they are also on a server and a computer, from the department of redundancy department) All this occurred on a computer using the latest filebot (downloaded today) and windows xp with all updates. I have not verified it on other windows products yet. An...

Re: latest few updates put priority on episode number

Going back to version 3.0, it appears the matching works what I would call better or the older way as it seems to prioritize the fuzzy episode matching over the incorrect episode titles. using the same examples that i have in the images above, instead of repeating the Lord Louie, it correctly matche...

Re: Adjust TV Show title while renaming

I understand the example of looking in the alias file and will start working on that. I might be misunderstanding you, if I change to that with a file, will it pop up if there is not a name or alias in the external file? The problem there is that I have several items where they are just one or two e...

Re: Adjust TV Show title while renaming

I like all that, I frankly didn't know it had all the neat capabilities, but that would, at least for me, mean getting into the preferences to change it on a somewhat case by case basis, which could take a lot of time, especially for the odd onesy type filenames that happen every once in awhile. For...

Did they used to be cached longer? For me I know in the past it took longer than that for some changes to show up without clearing the cache, at least I think it did.

Re: latest few updates put priority on episode number

I would also say this fuzzy matching has been the main reason I love filebot, because my tivo files are almost always mislabeled as to season and episode number because of I guess tivo guide data or whatever and using filebot would fix it almost every time. I love the program and hopefully am not co...

Clear Cache button or setting in interface screen Request

After spending 5 minutes searching how to run a cmd line in windows 8, and since I almost never use the cmdline features of filebot although i know they are awesome, I thought it would be a good suggesting for those that don't know dos/cmdline type interface to include a clear cache button on the st...
