Installation directory must be on a local hard drive

Hello,

I am trying to install version 4.8.2 but the installer shows an error "Installation directory must be on a local hard drive" but the selected directory is on a local drive (I have two HDD and neither work).

Previous versions of FileBot are the same.

Windows 10 Pro, all updates installed.

Many thanks,

Hugh

1.
I'm fairly sure that the MSI installer doesn't allow you to select a target drive in the first place. Can you take a screenshot?

2.
If you have trouble with the MSI installer, maybe you can use the ZIP non-installer package instead?

Thanks,

Screenshot below:

If I try to run FileBotLauncher.exe in the Portable zip it says that it requires Java runtime environment 10 - I have Java 11.

Cheers,

Hugh

I just purchased Filebot and am encountering this same problem - when I try to install it tells me I need to install to a local drive, which I'm doing.

I see the link that says "use this" but I don't seen anything TO use? What should I be grabbing?

You can try the portable package if Windows Installer doesn't work on your machine.

You need to go here and download the 'portable' version.
