Renaming files not working

Hi, I've been using filebot on windows 7 for a while and I've got a windows 10 OS now, I've installed filebot and java as required, and when I go click rename it changes the "new names" hand side to the correct name but the filename stays the same?

Example:
drag file to the rename side, click "match" select the database, select the correct tv series, comes up with the correct name in the "New Names" panel, hit "rename" hit "validate" to remove a comma, comma gets removed, then hit "continue", dialog box disappears and the file is still the original name.

I've re-installed java in case it was that, but it did not solve it.

Has anyone else come across this or know a way to fix it?

Did you buy FileBot from the Windows Store?

Buying FileBot is the easiest way, otherwise you'll need to set things up properly yourself.

I've been using filebot for a long time and since I did the lastest update, it won't rename files at all. What I am supposed to do to fix it ?

Did you install 64-bit Java? See FAQ for details.

Buying FileBot from the Windows Store is the easiest way to correctly install FileBot (especially if you're accidentally unknowingly somehow still running 32-bit Java).

I can't rename files either since I got the update filebot notification and updated to the latest filebot that it directed me to. Both computers are windows. One is 10 and one is 8.1. When I load files in, click match, it finds match, renames them to the format I want, all is well from that point - until you actually click "rename" and then absolutely NOTHING happens. It just sits there. This was working beautifully before I did the update. I was hoping it was a fluke but it's happening on both computers.

I just fixed it. I had to download java 64-bit onto my system. It had 32-bit for whatever reason......but the previous version apparently didn't need java 64-bit because it worked perfectly fine.

You only need 64-bit Java. 32-bit Java on 64-bit Windows is to be avoided.
