Please run filebot -script fn:sysinfo and post the output.

All the screenshots you posted are 180×90 pixels so that's not exactly useful... Please post full-size screenshots so I can actually see anything.

If you have a high-resolution screen you might wanna play with Windows scaling options. There is no support for high-resolution natively at this point.

It was purchased and installed through the App Store on Windows 10, as well as from your latest build (exe), both with the same result.

On the latest build, it included the "Platform". The GUI looks proper, but the text and buttons are far too small to read.

I am running it on a 4k TV, 3840 x 2160.

Sysinfo Output:

Code: Select all

FileBot 4.7.7 (r4740)
JNA Native: 5.1.0
MediaInfo: 0.7.92
7-Zip-JBinding: 9.20
Chromaprint: 1.4.2
Extended Attributes: OK
Script Bundle: 2017-01-05 (r470)
Groovy: 2.4.8
JRE: Java(TM) SE Runtime Environment 1.8.0_121
JVM: 64-bit Java HotSpot(TM) 64-Bit Server VM
CPU/MEM: 8 Core / 7 GB Max Memory / 27 MB Used Memory
OS: Windows 10 (amd64)
Package: MSI
Data: C:\Users\Chris & Leah\AppData\Roaming\FileBot
Done ?(?????)?

Doesn't Windows have some sort of scale mode compatibility options?

As far as FileBot is concerned, high-resolution on Windows is completely untested and unsupported because I don't have a 4K screen to test with.

This thread might be helpful though: viewtopic.php?t=3946

Well that's frustrating to say the least. I attempted to follow the thread you posted, but only found a different set of scaling issues. Windows scale mode compatibility options do nothing. It would have been nice for you to make a note of this defect in the app store so that people like myself don't waste our money. I've only read good things about this app. It's a shame that I'll not get the chance to use it myself. I mean you no disrespect, and I do understand your position, but frankly, I bought a product that I consider to be defective and there is no real support for it.

HiDPI support only works on Mac OS X right now. The Windows 10 version will support HiDPI once Java 9 is ready for production which will be some time in August.

There's probably a few ways to force Windows render FileBot at normal DPI and then upscale (blurry text) to high DPI via its compatibility options, though I can't test any of this with the hardware I have available right now. You can also temporarily change to normal DPI while using FileBot.

 You can ask Microsoft for a refund.

1. Install Java 9 EA
2. Run java -version to make sure you're running Java 9
3. Download the FileBot portable package and run filebot.cmd

There's no user-friendly solution at this point though.
