libmediainfo.so: Unable to load library 'mediainfo': libmms.so.0: cannot open shared object file

Post by tnenewloser »

Hello. Long time reader, first-time poster.

Moving my automated file processing to a Ubuntu system and I finally got most of the issues worked out, having files move over to a mounted share when completed. It's all running smoothly with the exception of this issue fund in the logs:

Failed to read media characteristics: /home/brain/Downloads/torrents_complete/Mortal.Kombat.2021.1080p.WEBRip.AC3.x264-LESS/Mortal.Kombat.2021.1080p.WEBRip.AC3.x264-LESS.mkv: net.filebot.mediainfo.MediaInfoException: Unable to load amd64 (64-bit) native library libmediainfo.so: Unable to load library 'mediainfo':
libmms.so.0: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory
libmms.so.0: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory
Native library (linux-x86-64/libmediainfo.so) not found in resource path (/usr/share/filebot/jar/filebot.jar)

As well as further down:
Could not initialize class net.filebot.mediainfo.MediaInfoLibrary

Files should end up in the naming convention:

Code: Select all

Allegiant.[2016-Mar-09].1080p.x265.AC3.mkv
Instead, output produces:

Code: Select all

Allegiant.[2016-Mar-09]....mkv
Any help is appreciated!

Full log from run:

Re: Filebot unable to load file information

Post by rednoah »

:?: Have you tried sudo apt install mediainfo yet?

:?: Did you use apt to install the package?
https://www.filebot.net/linux/apt.html

 apt takes care of installing all the dependencies automatically. If you download and install the *.deb file manually, then you may have to manually install some dependencies. In this case, libmediainfo and libmms.so are either missing on incompatible.
 Please read the FAQ and How to Request Help.

Dependencies. My time on a Windows machine has spoiled me.

Installing the apt now has the process working flawlessly. Thank you again for your continued support and assistance.
