Match confusion

Post by jchh »

Hi,

I renamed some episodes from the show "QI" with no problems.
I then renames some episodes from the show "QI XS" with no problems.

I then tried to rename some more episodes from the show "QI" and it only matches to "QI" now. Even after manually matching many to "QI", it still doesn't relearn this show. I have many, many episodes to name and to rematch them all manually will be a real faff. Is there a simple way to tech Filbeot to remember "QI" again?

Can you provide a sample file path for testing for one of the files that doesn't match correctly out-of-the-box?

Here's what I get. Looks good to me.

Code: Select all

$ filebot -rename . --db TheTVDB -non-strict --action TEST --log INFO
[TEST] from [QI (2003) - s09e12 - Illumination_edit.ts] to [QI - 9x12 - Illumination.ts]

Right. That's what it did to me ...worked perfectly until I renamed a couple of episodes from the show "QI XS" and then it went wrong.

Can you try renaming a show from "QI XS" and then see if "QI" still works for you?

Here's what I get if I add an QI XS file to my test folder:

Code: Select all

$ filebot -rename -r . --db TheTVDB -non-strict --action TEST --log INFO
[TEST] from [QI (2003) - s09e12 - Illumination_edit.ts] to [QI - 9x12 - Illumination.ts]
[TEST] from [QI XS - s01e01.ts] to [QI XS - 1x01 - Quite Internal.ts]

Sure. Can you give a list of file paths and instructions to reproduce the problem?

OK, there were 3 episodes:
~/Downloads/downloads - GiA/QI XS/QI XS (2020) - S01E01 - Quite Internal.mp4
~/Downloads/downloads - GiA/QI XS/QI XS (2020) - S01E02 - International.mp4
~/Downloads/downloads - GiA/QI XS/QI XS (2020) - S01E03 - Insubordinate.mp4

...I simply renamed them normally. But having done so, all subsequent "QI" (not "QI QS") episodes would only rename to "QI QS".

Looks like "QI XS" only works because we query for "QI" which will then give you a list of all options including "QI XS", and so if you confirm this "QI ➔ QI XS" mapping with Image enabled, your selected option is chosen for any file for which the search query is "QI".

 You can force manual query input & selection by holding SHIFT when clicking on TheTVDB.

Thanks, doing this and selecting "QI" worked - and now both "QI" and "QI QS" are being found correctly.

I cannot find this "all" button. Where is it?

The ImageImage toggle is part of the selection dialog.

agh, I see now - thanks.

I wasn't getting that dialogue screen - it was going directly to renaming with "QI QS". Is there a way to force this screen?
