Torrents and renaming

Hello,

Will renaming the media file remove any trace from being recognize that it was a torrent movie out tv show?

I'm not sure what you're trying to achieve. But since renaming doesn't change the file content, the answer is probably no.

If you want to remove files such as NFOs or other clutter that sometimes comes with torrents I believe you can manage to do so with Filebot.
In case the torrent contains more than just the media file this action and, for example, removing release group information from the final name, could make it harder to identify. In this case also disable xattrs to prevent filebot for saving the original file name.

The video file will however still be the same as already mentioned.

I want to use this program to remove the meta data from files i downloaded, Can this program do that?

No. FileBot does not modify files.

If you're using Plex though, and you have trouble with Plex using the embedded media title, then you can just disable that:
