uTorrent Extraction is not downloading real banners, posters, etc.

Post by sjboyd891 »

Lately I've noticed that a lot of my automatic extracts don't show pictures when I view them in Plex. I went into the folder that was autocreated by Filebot, and find that the Poster.jpg, Banner.jpg, etc that is downloaded, doesn't show an actual picture, but just a Microsoft picture icon.

When I try to open it, I'm shown the message: "Windows Photo Viewer can't display this picture because the file is empty."

Why does it keep downloading empty files?

When I looked in the AMC.log, and saw the links it was trying to pull the graphics from, they loaded in my browser with the correct picture, so why isn't it working? Any thoughts? I'm just stumped.....

Here is the code from the log:

Yes, this is a known issue. It's been fixed but there has not been a stable release since.

@see viewtopic.php?f=6&t=5329

:idea: It's not working because FileBot doesn't follow redirect responses by default.

Okay, thank you for the head's up! I'm currently running 4.8 but I keep getting the "update to 4.9" popup. However, when I go to update, there is no longer a file to download. I love your program and am completely willing to pay to support future updates, however, I'm running Windows 8, not Windows 10, so I couldn't even get updates through the Windows Store if I wanted. Any suggestions on workaround and when a Stable fix for this issue will be released?

Thanks!

There will be no official release for Windows 8 in the future. You could try patching your current install yourself by using the latest jar. Might work. Might not.
