Automatic File Renaming

Post by dacari »

I am using the amc script, but need some help renaming the files that the script creates. Is there a way to rename the files as the same as the parent folder so that the .srt,.nfo files etc. have the same name as the movie folder?

Thanks.

.srt should match with the video filename which is what all media players expect. The movie.nfo file is what xbmc expects and most media centers have adopted by now.

You can easily do that via GUI or cmdline scripts and fix things the way you want after amc is done processing.

Great..thanks a bunch...it is actually working as is...I just thought the NFO file had to be named the same as movie file. After filebot does its magic, then Yamj automatically scans the movie folder and adds the new movie to my Popcorn Hour Index...more time for the wifee now!

Not really my first reason of doing this, but glad FileBot's having a positive effect on your marriage. :D
