"rename" does nothing with special characters

Post by weyb06 »

Hi,

I'm using filebot on W7 since many months, and for the 1st time, "rename" does nothing

i put looney tunes cartoons (as before), filebot did find the right names of this serie, but when i click on "rename", nothing happens :-(
i tried many times, i rebooted my pc, it's the same

i tried with other files (movies), and it worked
i tried again with these cartoons without success :-(

I made some tests, and I "think" it's because in the filename to-be-written, there's a little "1/2" in it ("Duck Dodgers and the Return of the 24½th Century"), no ?

if yes, how can it be solved ?

1.
Please include screenshots and sample file names for testing:

2.
Windows 7 may enforce a ~240 character file path limit. Best to keep the file path shorter than that.

 You can use the FileBot (platform) launcher to get around those artificial Windows Explorer limits, but then you might have trouble managing these files via Explorer.

 You can strip special characters and trim the file path via your custom format.
 Please read the FAQ and How to Request Help.
