Opensubtitles and java.io.IOException: Not in GZIP format

Post by odon »

It seems that OpenSubtitles does not work anymore for sub downloading after a certain amount of download (or search ?) per day (it seems to be around 200).
As I have a lot of subs to download, it is very annoying...

- Is there a way to force a subtitle provider ? (as soon as i have reach my quota on OS, i could switch to subligth, even if it is very slow to get a sub)
- Is there a way to manage OS account for downloading? I may have no limit with a VIP account.

Not sure. They may have introduced a limit for downloads per day. FileBot logs in anonymously for simplicity reasons.

You're talking GUI or CLI? I think the GUI will let u choose what sub to download. Network errors might break the cmdline flow though.

I'm talking CLI. I can't download anything as long as at least one OS sub is found for my files as it generates a fatal exception.

Fixed with r967:
* more fault-tolerant by default (but no more parallel downloads of subtitles)
* support --db pattern, e.g. --db sublight, --db sublight|subscene, ...

https://sourceforge.net/projects/filebo ... ebot/HEAD/
