Opensubtitle Login Error

Post by fiqky »

I want to search Subtitles, but every time I log in to opensubtiles via Filebot pop-up dialog box, it always says "Opesubtitle : Service Unavailable"

How can I search subtitles if I can not log in? Can anyone help? Thank You.

OpenSubtitles may sometimes not work. Try again later.

OpenSubtitles may also be blocked in some countries due to copy right issues, e.g. Denmark.

If you're using a VPN, then OpenSubtitles may have blocked your outbound IP due to abuse from another user sharing the same IP.

EDIT:

It does work for me from my location at this point in time though.

OK. That's a bit of a bummer.
But anyway, thank you so much for the fast response. I still can use internal Plex subtitle grabber, even though I have to do it manually (because now subZero not supported by the new Plex update)

I also have had the same issue for the last few weeks on a win10 PC and a Qnap NAS

I just tried a dozen locations using PIA vpn and all returned the same result.

Where is the actual Filebot "exe" or app as I wish to add it to my firewall list and see if that helps..

Also I have no issue when I login to https://www.opensubtitles.org/en/search/subs

Please contact OpenSubtitles if you encounter 5xx server-side errors. There's nothing we can do on the client-side (other than retrying forever) if the server-side responds with an error.

EDIT:

If you enable full debug logging and response content logging, then you will be able to see the error response content that is sent back by the server, if any:

Code: Select all

filebot -script fn:properties --def net.filebot.logging.debug=ALL net.filebot.web.WebRequest.log.response=true
