FileBot

What I do:

• Drop a list of files to Filebot
• Match them via Filebot
• Check and sometimes amend results via "Edit name"
• After editing the file name in the text box, I press "return" and come back to the file list
• Everything looks the same as before (except of course the amended file name in the right list)
• I press "arrow down" in order to move to the next item

Problem:
The focus has now shifted to the menu icons on the left: Rename, Episodes, Subtitles, ….
So when I press "arrow down" I am not moving to the next item in the list. I am moving from "Rename" to "Episodes".

What is the release plan for FileBot? Are there nightly builds, weekly, monthly, …?

I cannot install the beta version with the following error message:
Apparently the Apple provided installer refuses to run the pkg, because it cannot inspect for malware.

This is on a M1 Mac running Big Sur.
My current version is manually installed, not the App Store version.
The page lists portable versions, but I cannot find one for Mac (ARM or x86).

The daily builds are not signed, notarized, stapled, and whatever Apple comes up next. You should be able to get around these "child safety features" via Right-Click ➔ Open ➔ Open instead of Double-Click.





If macOS still doesn't give you a Open button, then you'll have to Google the error message, and learn how to force macOS to let you do the things you wanna do.

I feel silly, that I missed that. To my defense: It was before my first cup of coffee.
