Blue Bayou bug

Post by nicholsml »

The new movie "Blue Bayou" gets matched with "Black Widow". Not request for matching, just the only choice.

I love Filebot but this is getting frustrating. Why would "blue bayou" match to "black widow" and not give the option to select the correct option. This is the third time I've run into similar problems were using filebot is more cumbersome than manually typing out the correct information which is the entire point of filebot.

1.
If you don't select anything, and press Skip instead, then FileBot will ask you to enter the search query or numeric ID. You can force this behaviour by holding the SHIFT modifier. Please read FAQ #2 for details.

 Alternatively, you can always just select something and then use Edit Match to fix things later:

that's not helpful. It automatically selects the wrong match without any dialog boxes.

If you use SHIFT-CLICK TheMovieDB and then enter 644089 you will most assuredly get the correct movie.

 You can probably use "Blue Bayour 2021" as search query instead of 644089 for convenience. The latter is just there as a fail-safe if all else fails.

 Please read FAQ #2 for details. It's really helpful. It thoroughly answers your question in the first and second sentence.
