Java Runtime Environment 1.8.0

This has been working great until this most recent update. Please let me know if there is an easy work around as I already have java installed and I'm not looking to add a bunch of bloat to my system in order to get this small app working.

IMHO if you are going to release software it should be pretty self contained. In other words why aren't these special java files coupled with this download?

Workaround: Use FileBot v4.2 until you are ready to install Java 8.

I could, but I'd have to do it for Windows x86, Windows x64, Linux x86, Linux x64, Mac OS X (luckily all x64 now), ARMv6, ARMv7, PPC, etc. So basically I'd have to put it a lot of manual effort, for all OSes, for all architectures, for all packages, for every update. IMHO if you want that job, you're welcome to contribute that part to the build process (and of course keep it up to date for the next few years).

PS: If you buy FileBot from the Mac App Store you will exactly get a self-contained package.

I think the issue (which I had initially) is that if I hit OK on the popup, it sends me to a link to download the Java SE JDK. I don't actually need the whole developer kit... the proper link for consumers should be:
http://java.com/en/download/index.jsp

It downloads just Java 8 and not the complete JDK.

Therein is stated: ""Java 8 is required".
So, user is expected to reinterpret somehow the error msg,
