FileBot

Some servers, like TwonkyMedia, foolishly use the Title tag information to control what title it shows. FileBot seems to not be able to update the Title tag once it has been written by iTunes, or maybe just if it's an m4v. FileBot does seem to be able to update the tags if the file is a mkv.

VLC seems to have the same problem--you can edit the metadata and save it until your mousebutton finger is calloused, but the changes never get saved.

There is not standard for video tags, it's different for every container format and i have never seen anyone make use of that anyway. More importantly there is basically no libraries for editing tags for different containers.
