Post by HC1Gunner »

Neither version of Filebot will run on my system, I get this error..."A device attached to the system is not functioning". Computer on (3) months old, device manager is clean, and everything works.

Are you using the Windows Store? Did you purchase it, or are you using the 1-day trial version? Do you have a screenshot of the error message?

When did you install the 1-day trial version? Was it more than 1 day ago?

"A device attached to the system is not functioning" is probably a very misleading way of Windows Store telling you that the your trial version has expired.

Do you have a screenshot that says you have 11 days left? That's strange because the trial is definitely limited to 1 day only and has never been more than that.

Looks like the "Free Trial" feature of the Store is still a bit rough on the edges. I'll turn it off with the next submission.

Try uninstalling and then installing again.

As far as I know, this message means that Windows thinks your trial version has expired and doesn't let you launch it.

That is indeed super strange. But also an easy solution if all it takes is enabling all network devices. :D

Thing is, i don't want my wifi adapter to be active. Are there any known workarounds for this? or maybe a way for the app to ignore it?

I have no idea. I would be honestly surprised if the network adapter settings really have anything to do with this. I'm highly doubtful.

Please contact Microsoft Support. They should be able to help you troubleshoot Windows Store problems.
