Filebot fails to load on windows 10 after latest "creators" update

I've installed the creators update. Filebot doesnt even load the GUI. I managed to get the log file. I'm running the latest version and even reinstalled.

Thanks for including the logs. It seems to crash somewhere in the Direct3D graphics acceleration code.

Please try the following steps:

* Uninstall all versions of FileBot you have installed (store and old legacy versions)
* Make sure you have all the latest Windows updates
* Restart your computer
* Download FileBot from the Store again


Did you purchase FileBot on the Windows Store? Or contribute by making a donation in the past? Support is not strictly free.

It worked just fine for many months prior to this specific windows update. I'm running the latest updates + latest java.

Maybe should i reinstall my nvidia drivers again?

On one of the projects I code for, there was an issue with creators update + nvidia driver version 381.65 that was fixed by rolling back to the previous driver revision, but that does not seem to be the case here.

Yeah, I am. I'll add it to the exception list and see.

Rivatuner hooks into low-level Windows code and crashes things. Not cool, and users (understandably) will blame FileBot and Windows. I guess Apple had a point when they added System Integrity Protection to make this kind of shit impossible.

Yep, that worked. I thought that rivatuner couldn't hook UWP apps, but apparently that was something added in the creators update.

I'm haveing the same problem. Whenever I hit the "Load" Button the program crashes what would you suggest I do? I have already uninstalled my last version and installed a copy that I just purchased from the MS Store (wow nice waste of $20)

The easiest work around would be to just use drag-n-drop, but you can also change the underlying file chooser implementation by setting environment variables if you really want to use a file chooser dialog.
