How to get a "dual license"

Post by maiux »

I'm planning to use Filebot on both Mac and Windows. I need to use it on Windows 7.

1) Will windows store version work on Windows 7?
2) Last, but not least, I have to pay 2 licenses? I will use as a single user.

Thank you.

1.
Microsoft has no plans of back-porting the Store to Windows 7, so you won't be able to install Windows Store apps on Windows 7.

2.
FileBot is not available for Windows 7 at all. Only Windows 10 is supported. Once you purchase FileBot with your Microsoft account, you will be able to run FileBot on any supported Windows 10 (or newer) machine as long as your logged in with your Microsoft account.

Thanks for your reply.

Assuming that I will upgrade to Windows 10, no way to get a license that works in bot Windows and macOS?

Unfortunately, no. Microsoft and Apple would have to exchange information and revenue for that.
