Lost my License

Hello Friends

Bought a license.

But pc crashed and i saved it in a txt file. The email is removed :(

how can i get my license ? back?

Yep sorry I've lost mine and Paddle are not great at returning emails. I've checked my email but I can't see anything from Filebot.

Great program btw.

Paddle will usually reply within 3-4 working days. Make sure to use Gmail for reliable email delivery. If you remember your Order Number / Order Date / Email Address, then I might also be able to lookup your order details. Please PM me as much information as you can.

My Hard drive crashed also anyway to get my Activation Key. I did try Paddle site but I purchased last year do not remember date or month and not sure of the price. The Email I used and have used same email for 10+ year is Gmail

FileBot License PX27321619 was re-sent to your gmail address. Please store it carefully on Google Drive this time around. Do not delete the email so that Gmail can keep it for you.

My problem is a bit different. I purchased mine through the windows store. However about a week and a half ago a hacker based out of russia managed to access my email, and once they did that they then went on a spree, hacking, or attempting to hack multiple accounts. They stole money, took over my facebook, and twitter, attempted to steal my amazon and steam, as well as various other things. I reported it to microsoft, they escalated it in order to get my account back, found that my account WAS compromised and hacked, but apparently are unable to transfer my account back because the hackers also managed to change my security settings, and they aren't able to bypass it. So my account is now permanently frozen because they said it was the only thing they could do to stop them from using it

Long story short, I lost everything associated with my account. All my games, all my apps, achievements, etc. I've had this account for 18 years, and now its just gone, and Microsoft claims they are powerless to do anything to get my account and purchases back. So on top of the other multitude of things I lost, I also lost my access to filebot, and have no way i know of of regaining it. I have regained access to my email address ([email protected]), but the Filebot app, as far as i know is tied directly to my Microsoft account that is frozen, so I don't know how to recover it. If there is anything that can be done to recover my filebot access I would be immensely grateful because at the moment, especially due to what happened I do not have the money to simply rebuy a new license

Unfortunately, if you have purchased FileBot via the Microsoft Store then you can only access FileBot via your Microsoft Account, i.e. you must install FileBot via the Microsoft Store and you can only do that if you're logged into your Microsoft Account.


Although FileBot has a non-Store edition as well, that's technically a different product and completely unrelated to any Microsoft Store or Mac App Store purchase you might have in your Microsoft or Apple account:

We do have a program for courtesy 1-year licenses though, if you're interested. That's completely unrelated to restoring your Microsoft Store purchase though:

Hello I have an active subscription with Filebot, however due to hardware failure and total loss of database I no longer have a registered key. I cannot remember how I paid for the subscription, ie debit card etc, but It was active before the crash. How can I obtain a replacement key

:arrow: Paddle may be able to help you even if you only know your name, at least for credit card payments.

Thanks for the response. Contacted Paddle. Turns out I renewed in Feb this year but the 'Bot' cant give me the licence key, instead a rep will contact me soon regards this issue. I now realise how important it is to keep keys etc on a completely different system.

Using Gmail (for search and lookup) and not deleting email will usually do the trick. Please let us know if you have trouble with Paddle support. We can help you as well, once you've got your Paddle order number.
