unrar, Move and rename subs helps

I am trying to automate the process of getting the subs out of the subfolder rename it and put it with the movie.

The subs are IDX and SUB files. They are in a nested rar file. The sub names a lot of time does not make any sense without knowing what was the parent directory. just moving all the subs out of there parent directory can make it really hard to figure out which ones go with each mkv file. Moving each file by itself takes forever.

Any suggestions on the best way to get the MKV + .idx + .sub all in the same folder and renamed would be awesome!

So far I got the movies and TV shows decompressed moved and renamed properly just the subs is what is left.

If anyone would like to build this I would be happy to pay for the work done.

Thank you

Please share a sample file structure (e.g. empty video files, with rar archive with subs) for testing. If it's a relatively easy task, then purchasing a life-time license should be payment enough.

I Believe I have a lifetime license PX9461974

typical file structure I am working with is Y:\completed\Ritual.2000.1080p.BluRay.x264-REGRET has the multi-part rars and Y:\completed\Ritual.2000.1080p.BluRay.x264-REGRET\Subs contains the subs. the subs are nested so they need to be unraired twice.

hope that helps.

right now what it does is that it unrars everything but I have to go hunt down the subs through multiple folders. The movies get moved to /moviename folders on the correct drive.

Thank you.

So you're using the amc script? In this case, please post the log file so we can see what's happening.

I see. The Ignore orphaned subtitles rule excludes these subtitle files. In some cases, that is desired behaviour, because such subtitles are likely to get mismatched, but in your case, it'd probably be fine. I'll make changes to allow it in -non-strict mode.

 You can try the latest script revision with these changes by using -script dev:amc in combination with the latest FileBot 4.8.6 beta release.
