Video Title in Metadata

Post by jbbarnes77 »

I did notice somewhere that FileBot can read the title of the video saved in metadata. Will it change that as well when it renames the file itself?

Before I got FileBot I changed the filenames by hand, but playing the video would briefly display the old "ugly" name stored inside the file. Will FileBot fix this? If not, can someone suggest a program that can?

Thanks.

1.
Yes, the {mediaTitle} binding will give you the media title value that's embedded in the file content:

2.
No, FileBot does not modify files, and thus FileBot can't help you modify the embedded media title.

 However, tech-savvy users can use command-line tools like mkvpropedit and mp4tags to get the job done: viewtopic.php?t=5#p44992
