Bought and installed a one year licence today, all working fine thanks.

How do I renew the licence in a year? Will I get an email prompting me to extend it, or do I just buy a new one.

I have searched but not seen any instructions, apologies if I missed it.

You'd just buy a new one. It's always a one-time purchase, starting at the purchase date, so not really a subscription service.
