Anime show placed in incorrect folder

Post by AMPZORD »

Hi,

I am having trouble getting a anime called Boku no Hero Academia to my Anime folder.
Everytime I convert using TheTVDB it places the show in the TV Shows folder. But I have another folder called Anime.
The conversion in itself is perfect, the only problem I have is the folder it is going to. I have tried doing {plex} but helplessly.
I just bought FileBot and I am sorry if this is not the place to insert such questions.

Thank you in advance,

 Based on the screenshots, everything is working perfectly as expected. If you're organizing files for Plex, then Anime are TV Shows for all accounts and purposes.

:!: Anime = Files matched against AniDB. No seasons. No SxE numbers. Only absolute numbers. You'll need 3rd party scanners and metadata agents (e.g. HAMA) if you want Plex to work with those.

:!: TV Shows = Files matched against TheTVDB. Season folders. SxE numbers. The usual. Plex works out of the box for those (i.e. including "Anime" that are listed on TheTVDB, as they are indistinguishable from any other TV Show).

 If you just want to separate Japanese Anime from American TV Shows, both of which are equally TV Shows, then you can customize the format for that, akin to separating TV Shows from different countries, languages, eras, genres, etc. Notably, TheTVDB does not have a "this is an Anime" field of information, but some users get good enough results by separating Animation genre content and non-Animation genre content.
 Please read the FAQ and How to Request Help.
