Additional String for better matching?

When I scan my files it keeps asking me to match the same pairs. Is there anything that I could add to the name to prevent this. Maybe the ID of the Episode/Movie?

Thanks for the post! Before a real human comes by, please make sure your report has all the following points checked:
  • What are you trying to do achieve? What's not working? What have you tried so far?
  • Include screenshots, logs or filenames (i.e. demonstrate the issue)
  • Include System Information (i.e. filebot -script fn:sysinfo console output)

Sounds like screenshots would do a very job at illustrating the issue in this case, no?

For example "The Flash" It always asks me what version of the Flash it is the 2014 or 1990 version. The same for Doctor Who with 2005 and 1963. There are also other cases where it's not just a matter of the year.

I'm asking for screenshots because I need screenshots. A verbal description in addition is of course appreciated but entirely optional. ;)

Alternatively, absent screenshots, I'm also happy with file paths as text, as that will allow me to recreate your use case and try and see things for myself.

It's not a specific case it rather a general problem.
lets say I have a file x.mkv and that file is the first Episode of The Flash (2014).
How do I need to name the file so that FileBot will always Match it correctly?
Naming it "The Flash (2014) S01E01" wont work. It will still ask me for matching it.

I tried that and it didn't work. Looks like I had to restart FileBot to make it use the saved matchings.
It Does work now. Thanks for the help.
