Filebot to rename Uni lectures for PLEX

Hi,

I have a bunch of lecture videos that I download each week for university that I add to PLEX and want to know if FileBot would reduce the work I have to do.

For example, for one of my subjects:

EXAMPLE 7.4ab One-Tailed Tests on the Mean (Variance Known) Through Example.pdf
LECTURE 7.5a Errors in Hypothesis Testing (Type I & II Errors).pdf
LECTURE 7.5b Worked Example – Type II Error & Power of a Test.pdf

That I would like in the format:
Statistics SD203 - S07E01 - EXAMPLE 7.4ab One-Tailed Tests on the Mean (Variance Known) Through Example
Statistics SD203 - S07E02 - LECTURE 7.5a Errors in Hypothesis Testing (Type I & II Errors)
Statistics SD203 - S07E03 - LECTURE 7.5b Worked Example – Type II Error & Power of a Test

With "LECTURE 7.5b Worked Example – Type II Error & Power of a Test" to be tagged in the metadata field ''Title" so PLEX will recognise the episode name

At the moment I download them, rename manually, edit the Title metadata field in TagEditor then manually move them to the destination folder eg. "\Volumes\WD 4TB\PLEX\Uni Lectures\Statistics\Season 7\"

Is this something FileBot can handle? And if so a few pointers in the right direction :)

Thanks!

You'll want to look into Plain File Mode. Certainly doable. Your plain file format does the magic.

 Note that disabling the Title attribute is generally recommended for all Plex users:
