I requested that many times. That guy said he won't do it cause it only compiles with JDK7.

If you have any idea how to get FileBot into an offical apt repository I'm all ears. Kinda sucks that you can't just do apt-get install filebot...

The version I got (2.7) was installed using apt-get..

I have no idea. Also there is no 2.7, only 2.64 and 3.0. What apt repository are you using? Maybe you could just drop the maintainer an email and ask him to update it?
