Windows Store Version does not work. agian...

Hey there...

I'm back to getting this error whenever I try to run the windows store version...

My Windows 10 updated itself from Creators Edition to Winows 10 Pro, version 1709, OS Build: 16299.125.

So I went back through the steps outlined back at this post...
viewtopic.php?f=10&t=4948

And the download for the Fall Update for the Creators Edition only downloads the pro version that is listed in my above pic. So now I am at a standstill again. I can get an older non windows store version to work, but it appears that the latest won't work and my context menu is broken again.

Hoping that I can get the windows store version to work and that will fix the possible broken path problem with the context menu also.

Ok, running through the steps now,

Step 1: No issues found
Step 2: at 9%

I'll Keep you posted.

I ran through all the steps and it did not fix the problem.

The next step would be to ask Microsoft Support.

:idea: If you have a second machine for testing, you could try Factory Reseting that one to see if it works on a pristine install of Windows.

ok, doing a google search brings up:

parameter is incorrect" error is caused by bad sectors, lost clusters, cross-linked files, file system errors and directory errors...

so, I don't have bad sectors, or lost clusters...

well, I ran through all the steps, uninstalled then reinstalled and rebooted and now it is working just fine. not sure what was causing the issue because all the steps produced no errors or repair.

I think the windows update hosed it up and now that I reinstalled the latest windows and reinstalled filebot from the store somehow it fixed it.

That's interesting. I wish the error messages were more descriptive about what the problem actually is.

I guess the update/reboot/uninstall/reinstall loop did the trick.

I am trying to find out how to reinstall my purchased version of FIlebot I purchased on the Microsoft Store. My PC crashed and I have to reinstall all my applications; there is not a button in the Microsoft Store to reinstall. Please help

As long as you log in with the same Microsoft Account, you can install FileBot from the Store on all of your Windows PCs.

:idea: I wouldn't expect a "Install" button in the Order Details section.

:arrow: Please open the Microsoft Store and then search for FileBot and then click on FileBot and then post a screenshot of how it looks like.
