Classic movie naming problems
Since I deal mainly with older movies FileBot tends to not choose the titles when it offers a selection. As a work around, does not always work, I put the IMDB number for the movie as the title (seen above).
Is there a way that you can add a possible a spot within this popup for adding the IMDB or TVDB number for a direct link for naming? It would go a long way instead of having to rename the file itself.
Re: Classic movie naming problems
1.
What's the original file name that didn't work well?
viewtopic.php?f=5&t=1868
2.
I don't see the point of typing IDs, because you'd have to search Google by name to find the ID first anyway. Wouldn't it make more sense to search by name from FileBot right away?

Re: Classic movie naming problems
I see! This is useful. All this files work out of the box for me, doesn't even ask for confirmation.
Further testing revealed that Reseed wasn't on the blacklist yet, and was thus considered potentially a movie folder, and somehow caused things not working out as expected:
viewtopic.php?f=3&t=359
I'll add it to the list.
In the meanwhile, just rename Reseed to Complete, and then it'll just work.

Re: Classic movie naming problems
Code: Select all
Dare I Weep, Dare I Mourn (1966)(VHSRip).avi null
Eyes.of.Texas.(1948)(DVDRip).avi null
Follow.the.Boys.(1944).avi null
Giorgi.Saakadze.1943.DVDRip.XviD.avi null
Changing the folder to "Complete" only worked on one file.
Trying to add each movie to it's own folder results.
Code: Select all
Dare I Weep, Dare I Mourn (1966)(VHSRip)\Dare I Weep, Dare I Mourn (1966)(VHSRip).avi {"@type":"Movie","year":2009,"imdbId":1241316,"tmdbId":32124,"language":"en","id":32124,"name":"Dare","aliasNames":[]}
Eyes.of.Texas.(1948)(DVDRip)\Eyes.of.Texas.(1948)(DVDRip).avi {"@type":"Movie","year":1948,"imdbId":40333,"tmdbId":53112,"language":"en","id":53112,"name":"Eyes of Texas","aliasNames":[]}
Follow.the.Boys.(1944)\Follow.the.Boys.(1944).avi {"@type":"Movie","year":1944,"imdbId":36832,"tmdbId":27628,"language":"en","id":27628,"name":"Follow the Boys","aliasNames":[]}
Giorgi.Saakadze.1943.DVDRip.XviD\Giorgi.Saakadze.1943.DVDRip.XviD.avi {"@type":"Movie","year":1942,"imdbId":34781,"tmdbId":283968,"language":"en","id":283968,"name":"Giorgi Saakadze","aliasNames":[]}
Sadly most of the files I need help renaming are loose files and not in folders yet.
Re: Classic movie naming problems
1.
What version of FileBot are you using?
2.
The first one is off, because TheMovieDB doesn't seem to have an entry for this particular movie in the first place:
https://www.themoviedb.org/
I couldn't find it anyway. Maybe it's listed with a different name. If it's really not there, then maybe you could add it though.
Works for the other 3 though:
