The English name works.

When FileBot is set to French then French titles will work out of the box. When set to English titles you'll have to select the correct option.

Not bizarre at all, FileBot just doesn't speak French!

FileBot is doing a lot of processing and relevance matching. Though if you have only French names and using the English TheMovieDB data FileBot won't be able to match the French title to the English title as it is completely different. Once you have the movie year in the title things will get a lot better as it can match by year.

The second one has the english title in the folder. The matching path is there. So it works.

and what about imdb ? it's used for notations and so, what about using it for renaming ?

parameter to force movie mode in some way, but when amc script wanna detect a movie as serie it don't care !

That's true. IMDb is second class citizen because it does not provide an API. Also the issue outlined above doesn't change.

PS: If you wanna force movie mode you can just edit the script. There's a function called "forceMovie". You'll wanna modify that a bit.

PS2: I hope IMDb dies soon, I'll gladly do my part to make it so. There's a discussion as to why some other thread.
