FileBot "currently not available"

FileBot is currently not available in your account. Here’s the error code, in case you need it: 0x803F8001

This occurred after a recent windows update. It was purchased in the Microsoft store in 2018. I tried downloading a new version, but that requires an activation code. Please assist.

FileBot is available on the Microsoft Store. Please contact Microsoft Support if you have trouble with the Microsoft Store.


:?: Have you tried logging out of the Store and then logging into the Store again?


:?: Have you tried to Google this particular Microsoft Store error code yet? Since it's a generic Microsoft Store problem, and not specifically about FileBot, others will likely have encountered similar issues in the past.


:idea: If you have purchased FileBot on the Microsoft Store / Mac App Store, you must install FileBot via the Microsoft Store / Mac App Store, and cannot use the classic standalone installer package, as that would require a standalone license file.
