TV Shows not being recognised or found

I have had a lot of TV shows not being found or recognised.

For example, if I have a tv show with the file name tvshow.1of5.episodeTitle.mp4, Filebot will give me the choice like so...

... but doesn't find anything when selected.

If I then search the show manually, it does't find anything saying show not found...

Image

even though the show exists on TVDB

I am a relatively novice user but it happens persistently.

If I sort the files into folders, ie, SHOW NAME > SHOW NAME SEASON 1 > File.mp4 it will sometimes work but the whole point of purchasing filbert was to avoid having to put everything in folders before hand and have filbert do it for me...

is there a fix?

Thanks

I am not sure how to add pictures to the post, so have added links to imugr. Not even sure I have done that correctly! :D

Well, episode listing works now, so I guess this particular case has resolved itself:

Code: Select all

filebot -list --q "Super Factories"
Super Factories - 1x01 - Inside the Tesla Gigafactory
Super Factories - 1x02 - McLaren Supercar
...

:?: Did you configure Image Opportunistic Matching or Image Strict Matching? Please read Match Mode: Opportunistic vs Strict for details.

:?: As for why this particular show wasn't or isn't working for you, that we cannot tell without more information. Please read How to Request Help for details.

:!: Note that the first screenshot does not show a tvshow.1of5.episodeTitle file name pattern. The Series 1 Part 1 pattern that is shown is very unusual however, so this could be a problem. Please post the file paths as text so we can run a few tests. Please read How to Request Help for details.

:!: Note that your second screenshot is confusing because you have selected Image TheMovieDB::TV which indeed does not list Super Factories, as opposed to Image TheTVDB which does.
