 TMDB / TVDB are machine-readable via an API, and so everyone and their mom (every software product at the very least) has long since switched to TMDB / TVDB.

 IMDB is a legacy website, made for humans only, does not have an API, and ToS explicitly prohibit Robots and Screen Scraping. The only useful thing about IMDB nowadays is the tt1234567 ID pattern, and both TMDB / TVDB support lookup via IMDB ID so we don't actually need IMDB.

:?: Can you provide a specific movie / series where IMDB has more complete movie / episode information?

Bake Off The Professionals.

The existing sources only go up to series 7, IMDB has series 8 & 9 as well.

IMDB does not have an API and ToS explicitly prohibit Robots and Screen Scraping and so IMDB will not be added as a datasource as to avoid potential legal repercussions.

I cannot prevent you from making your own page scraper though.

EDIT:

I'm not familiar with Bake Off The Professionals so I'm not sure how the schedule works for that series, but the episodes you refer to are listed, e.g. the episodes aired in 2024 are listed on TMDB as Season 7, 2023 is Season 6, ..., 2018 is Season 1:
https://www.themoviedb.org/tv/79207-bak ... ls/seasons

The episodes from 2017 and 2016 are listed as different series:
https://www.themoviedb.org/tv/79979-bak ... me/seasons

:!: If you are organizing files for Plex / Jellyfin / Kodi / etc then you must use TMDB or TVDB (whichever you have configured as database) to organize the files.
