Problem running FileBot from Mac App Store

I just got a new MacBook Pro and Filebot would not run. I deleted it and redownloaded again from the Mac App Store and it still will not run. It bounces once and quits. I then downloaded from FileBot's website and it ran fine but I would have to pay for it again to use it. Any help here as to what I should do? There was a recent post that had the same problem and the response he got was that an update was needed. FileBot runs fine on my Mac mini with the same version of Mac OS Sonoma 14.5 .

Yep, looks like the same issue. Not much we can do for now. If it's a recent purchase, then you can refund via Apple. If it's an older purchase, then we will send you a complimentary 1-year license for the non-Store edition.

well my purchase is from 2017, so there is a tecnical limitation on the MacStore APP?

Apple does seem to have introduced some incompatibilities. I don't know. We only know that the same code works for most users while at the same time not working for a small number of users. The symtom is unexpected NIC properties. The root cause is unknown.
