Updated to FileBot 4.2 (r2326) but still getting the Late Night.. :/

I hate to revive an old thread, but I am having fits with filebot AMC and jimmy fallon.

If the guest has previously appeared on Late night with Jimmy Fallon, then the episode is tagged as that show instead. However, if the guest has never appeared on Late Night, then the show is tagged properly as The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.

I am having to go back in after filebot and rearrange things. I was wondering if there was a way to prioritize the date first, because the tonight show has ended and since all scene releases of jimmy fallon are tagged by date, this would be an easy way to determine which show it is.

Exactly, but if you look at the log I posted, the episode was skipped from copying to my storage array because Late Night with Jimmy Fallon S2014E26 already existed on my array.

Which is correct, I have already stored that episode, but I have not stored the Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon S01E131.

Filebot seems to be mixing up the two shows.

Hopefully that makes sense, I'm not trying to be rude. Not sure if it comes off that way or not

So there is two unique shows, that are almost the same, and have almost the same name, but are actually different?

Have you tried with the latest 4.5_B3 then?

I have not tried the beta, it took me quite some time to get filebot amc fully functional and automated properly. Been paranoid to touch it ever since haha.

I'll look into upgrading though.

Probably a good chance tvdb wasn't updated yet. I fetch all my stuff over IRC so I get it seconds after pre.

I'm also having problems matching Jimmy Fallon, every time it matches to the same episode of "Late Night With..." instead of "The Tonight Show Starring...".

There is no date in your original filename, so filebot is doing its best to guess what it is based on the episode title, "aAF"

Fix that and try again.

Is the 2015.09.22 not the date? And wouldn't manually renaming the file defeat the object of an AMC?

The episode information didn't exist at the time. So FileBot couldn't have processed the file correctly at the time.

You can remove -non-strict or use a --filter (see fine-tuning) if you want to avoid these kinds of issues (and let FileBot just not process files in these cases).

Thanks again guys but I still can't get it working

If I run my script again it still matches to "Late Night With" even though the episode data is definitely on TheTVDB now.

Even though that line appears to be the same in the fn:amc script where it seems to be OK with it. If I use MrBucket's script but just replace dev:amc with fn:amc I still get "Late Night With".

I'm sorry to be a PIA, I just don't know enough about how the Groovy scripting works. (I am a .NET programmer though so I'm pretty tech savvy

the error you're getting is because of how my script is setup. My script is meant to be run on a linux environment with bash; with the FILE_PATH as a parameter

if you have access to a linux machine, and want to use my script, thats fine. create a new file named Filebot_test.sh, copy/paste my script into it, save the file. Then give the file execute permissions, "sudo chmod +x Filebot_test.sh"

then call it like this "bash Filebot_test.sh /path/to/file" - makes testing files super easy, cause all i need to do is tab out the path to the file

OR, copy/paste my script into notepad and reformat it so that it works for you. making sure to replace $FILE_PATH, with the actual path to your file. I dont think windows likes the split lines either, not too sure.

the fn:amc and dev:amc just refer to different branches of the AMC script. rednoah adds some new features to the AMC script, and those of us on the dev branch, can help him test for bugs and what not. 99% of all ppl want the stable branch a.k.a fn:amc

Sorry I forgot to mention I'm on a Mac here (I'm Windows at work but OSX at home!)

I did replace the FILE_PATH with a hard coded path to the file I'm trying to rename but still got that error.
