FileBot

Hi. First I would like to thank rednoah for this very useful application.

I renamed a couple of movie and video files (.avi, .mkv, .mp4) a couple of weeks ago and moved them to a new folder, but then right after it won't play anymore. I use VLC as my main player on my laptop, WDTV Live Streaming and PLEX media server for my HDTV.

I tried reverting them to their old file names but still they won't play anymore.

Anyone experienced this before? Please help!

Make sure that the permissions are right.

By "permission" you mean what? I checked and verified disk permission of my external drive via Disk Utility app of Mac OS X. Is that what you mean? Sorry I'm just confused.

My typical workflow are as follows: download subtitle, rename files, and move them to their respective folders.

Not sure. But since filebot doesn't touch file contents so files can't be corrupted by renaming. So it must be an issue with accessing the files.

Have you tried the latest 3.5 beta release?

Isn't the version 4.2 (1) is the latest release?
