oopsie! too many folders deep

I've accidentally added a couple layers of extra folders on the way to one show.
I have:
(f) show/ (f) show s1e3/ (f) show/ (f) show/ show s1e3
will FileBot 4.2 to undo my error so iTunes and Plex can see them properly again?

1.
FileBot has a revert function.
2.
Or just rename the files again, and specify the exact absolute path you want in the Format Editor.

I'm using the Mac GUI version.
I have not been able to make either method go.
History comes up empty.
Would you please explain what would be the syntax for:
(f) show/ (f) show s1e3/ show s1e3 where (f) is a folder
Everytime I try, I seem to add another layer of folder instead of deleting the extra levels.
The shows are named correctly, but each show is 5 folders down.
I'm looking to strip off the extra folder layers.

1.
Are you sure the History is empty? Screenshots?
2.
Specify an absolute path in the format. You know what an absolute path is right? A path that starts with / and specifies the output file exactly (not relatively).

I understand the basic concept of the absolute path, but I'm not sure how to enter it in "Edit Format" to reduce the number of folder layers.
I'm making a mess. I'm at 20 folder levels now.
I just tried Rename from Filebot "edit Format" whoops!

Does your "absolute path" look anything like this?
Code: Select all
/Users/rednoah/Documents/{n}/{'Season '+s}/{n} - {s00e00} - {t}
(you enter it with you keyboard)
What is your "absolute path" that you entered in Format Editor?

I figured a way to fix, with Automator to move all the "files" to 1 new folder.
Then I used NameChanger to append/prepend etc as was needed.
But filebot did it's job, I just over did it.
Thanks very rednoah.
