Is there a shortcut to start scraping movies (series) being added to Filebot with TheMovieDB (or other databases)?

You mean a shortcut that'll save 2 clicks / 1 second at the expensive of logical UI? No, that's not planned.
However, you can create a cmdline script, and that'll be a single click.

Many thanks, rednoah.

Well, I am not quite sure about the time (I am a bit slow with the mouse and clicking), but then 60 times clicking would save half a minute, that would not be that bad.

I guess, the time I would need to do it (any idea what it is) I could click some billion (or more) times on the nice UI, so...
Many thanks again.

It's important that the users makes a conscious decision when choosing a database, because that'll heavily affect what's happening next.
If there's was some sort of anime / series / movie auto-detection auto-detection that could work, but then that'll take more CPU, more network requests, which would take a few extra seconds anyway, and of course things would be less reliable and more time spent on figuring out why it doesn't work (which is hard even for me).
As for some (very) basic cmdline scripting, tinkering and succeeding is it's on reward, even if it takes a bit longer at first.
Also there's
http://www.filebot.net/forums/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=1053 and of course the monstrosity Ithiel is working on.

Alright, yes, I understand, that's a good argumentation of course.
And thank you for the link, I will give it a try may be.
Many thanks, rednoah.
