FileBot

Hey folks.

Have just started using Filebot 4.5.3 recently in order to rename everything for Kodi/XBMC to scan nicely. The program is an absolute masterpiece however I am having trouble when it comes to (shudder) Daytime Soaps of all things. The girlfriend is an avid fan of The Bold and The Beautiful (judge away) however I am having some trouble getting Filebot to rename the episodes properly.

The files are listed like this: B&B Aug 4 - 14
Whereas XBMC seems to prefer them as: The Bold and The Beautiful 08.04.2014

For the life of me I can't work out how to have the program automatically change these for me. I was playing around with the edit format part of things, and managed to get the name changed to The Bold and The Beautiful, however it keeps pulling random dates out.

B&B Aug 4 - 14 doesn't make any sense to FileBot, nor me.

If you can somehow preprocess these files and transform them into something more sensible like The Bold and The Beautiful - 04.08.2014 then it should work, assuming that all the data has been entered into TheTVDB correctly.

So you will have to use a generic renaming program first.
