Question/Query

I am currently using the stock settings in filenode and testing with a dry run.
For some reason the file output does the following that I'd like to fix

1) It attempts to move the media files in /Volume1/Music/Music/[ARTIST] instead of /Volume1/Music/[ARTIST]
2) Some of the media files are placed into album format and not others (i.e. /volume1/Music/Music/2Pac/All Eyez on Me/
3) Some files are renamed with track number and others not. (i.e. /volume1/Music/Music/2Pac/Me Against the World/09. 2Pac - Dear Mama.mp3])

Theres alot of questions there for one post but hopefully someone that has managed to setup filebot node properly can shed some light on what I am doing wrong. Or this is just how the media is sorted from the AcoustID data pulls.

Then your Output Folder should be /Volume1 and not /Volume1/Music

2. & 3.
AcoustID will usually return way too much release information, so it's quite impossible for FileBot to know which release data you want. The same music may have a single, part of many albums, from different artists, etc

There's no magic solution, but you can define your own music format and come up with something that works for you.

For example:
* only use artist/title information (should be constant across multiple releases)
* use media info bindings to access ID3 tags in your format (if you're lucky and things are tagged already)

For those having the same issue.
The output folder should remain the same as /Volume1/Music
or wherever you put your music share.
Filebot does not have the permissions to access the root volume and /Volume1/ would not work.

The following expressions would stop filebot node renaming files into a seperate music folder

{artist}/{artist} - {t} = /Volume1/Music/Adele/Adele - Rolling in the deep.mp3
{artist}/{album}/{artist} - {t} = /Volume1/Music/Adele/21/Adele - Rolling in the deep.mp3

For other expressions you can use the filebot windows version in the rename options to create your own.
