FileBot

Hi!

NAS-newbie here!

Recently tried to install Filebot Node on my DS251j (using DSM 6.0) and everything goes well during installation.
Node.js is installed together with your Java package, and Filebot together with Filebot Node.

1. Java is up and running and the log looks fine.
2. Node.js is running but log shows no data.
3. Filebot is running but log shows no data.
4. Filebot Node refuses to start, "Failed to run the package service" and log shows no data.

I've tried uninstalling all of the above and reinstalling - no change.
I've tried uninstalling Filebot Node and reinstalling - no change.

Do you need Java8 from Synology installed as well?
Or is there something else I have missed?

I'm grateful for help! This seems like exactly the kind of program I want on my NAS.

I don't know what's causing this issue. Seems to be a general Synology issue that affects lots of packages. You might get lucky asking for help in the Synology forums.


I'd start by checking all the system logs:

You do not need any extra packages. If FileBot Node -> View Log is empty, then FileBot Node is likely never started. Next step is to figure out why.

I will need to investigate more then. I'll get back if I find anything.
