If you're using Windows 10 then I recommend just purchasing it on the Windows Store.

If you have contributed to FileBot in any way in the past, then you can ask for a promo code:

I love FileBot and would like to support you but the price is too steep in my country's store (because of the high exchange rate I guess) and I can't afford to the way it is, is there any chance of sales/discount periods happening on Windows Store soon?

There'll probably a discount with next release. Probably around April / May.

If I bought Filebot for Mac is it possible to get the Windows edition for free?

Unfortunately, changing a Mac license in favour of a Windows license is not possible, because you're not buying from me personally, but from Apple and Microsoft respectively, so they'd have to cooperate for that.

FileBot is niche software and doesn't have millions of users and you get a lifetime license, so it's priced accordingly. If you're from North America or Western Europe, then $20 is less than you'd spend on a typical night out.

If you're from a low- or medium-income country, then might be inclined to offer you a promo code because $20 is indeed a lot if you make less than $500 a month, but your email indicates that you're from Denmark. I recently had a chance to present a paper in Copenhagen, most expensive place I've ever been too, $20 is nothing there.

Well I thought I was going to avoid signing into M$ store to purchase filebot by donating via PayPal only to find out I still have to sign in to redeem code. How can I prove my donation to receive redemption code? tia

If you qualify for a promo code, then you need to PM me with the necessary information, and then maybe you'll be able to get you a code:

 There is no automated system and I do not sell codes.

In any case, you will need to login with your Microsoft account to redeem your code and you will need to sign into the Windows Store with your Microsoft account to install FileBot.
