OMDb is broken for FileBot 4.7.9 and earlier. Please use TheMovieDB instead.

Using OMDb is not recommended. 4.7.10 may work, but is only available as pre-release on the Windows Store at this point.

OMDb is not IMDb. TheMovieDB search and lookup is significantly more reliable than OMDb and FileBot also has a few internal tweaks specifically for TheTVDB / TheMovieDB that make things work better in certain corner cases.

OMDb might be good as a backup if a movie hasn't yet been added to TheMovieDB. I'd recommend adding the missing data to TheMovieDB, if you do find something missing. I find TheMovieDB quite complete, but we may have tested with different movies.

Please continue with the work on IMDB/OMDB please.
The ratings are much more reliable than TMDB ones.

Filebot only write cast to the nfo IF the actor has a role, so update the movies you find missing this.

OMDB has gone private...and apparently the Filebot key no longer works. That's what THEY say anyway. That said, I have to agree that OMDB is WAY more reliable than TMDB on MANY movies. I use both but mostly TMDB. There are many movies though that TMDB does NOT show date, rating, and time. When that happens (before OMDB stopped working) I would check OMDB. It ALWAYS gave all the info I use in my naming: Name (year, rating, running time) (Actors x3) (Genre x3). I hope the issue with OMDB will be fixed... LOVE it!!!

If it's just a matter of missing information, then I recommend creating a TheMovieDB account and adding the missing information.

Filebot omdb key is working just fine on my end, so if you are having issues with omdb then it's something only on your end making it not work.

Well, I have changed NOTHING on my end. It worked, then it didn't work. The day it stopped working I saw that they went private and changed their keys. Great that it's working for you, but as posted, I am not the only one having issues with it. It is (regardless of what a few say) way better than TMDB with MANY movies..especially older or off-beat movies. In MANY cases TMDB doesn't give all the information that I use when naming my movies. OMDB almost always does. As for ADDING the information on TMDB...I have done that many times. Same with thetvdb. I have fixed MANY series on there that were so far wrong the person that put the info up should have been beat!!! LOL

Anyway, this issue is still happening. I have uninstalled and re-installed and still it doesn't work. And again, started at the same time they went private. So simply asking the creators if they have any insight into this. Thanks,

It should work out of the box with any of the newer releases. What version of FileBot are you using?
