I'll look into those new APIs. Being able to retrieve additional metadata would be a welcome addition.

The "hashing algorithm" used by OpenSubtitles turned out to be a horrible choice and only reasonably viable in combination with the file size because hash collisions are extremely likely (compared to real hashing algorithms) once you're dealing with lots of files.
